CMG Music Recording is proud to announce our new Administrative Assistant, Pamela Foard! We are so lucky to have her expertise on the CMG team!
Learn more about Pamela Foard: “I’ve been teaching and playing professionally since the age of 19, when I was appointed a teaching assistant position at Indiana University, while earning a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance. Once graduated, I went on to teach privately for many years until my move to Los Angeles in 2014.
While at IU, I studied with many wonderful teachers, including Italian violinist Franco Gulli. I’ve also studied with Gerald Horner of The Fine Arts Quartet, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; Edward Mumm, former Concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and Vartan Menoogian of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, among many others.
I’ve been a freelance musician for my entire career, which led to positions as concertmaster many Midwest orchestras, and under Music Directors Kenneth Schermerhorn and Lukas Foss, the number one substitute violinist and violist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
I founded an all-string orchestra, Sinfonia Concertante, in Milwaukee in 1979, and was the Artistic Director and Administrative Director for four years, where I also served on the board of directors. I was also the Managing Director for Milwaukee’s contemporary music ensemble, Present Music, from 1996-99. I have commissioned a tuba concerto for my son Aubrey (currently Principle Tuba in the Baltimore Symphony and head of the low brass department at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music) in 2008 from Wisconsin composer Mark Petering.
I’m also a writer! I’ve published two books: “Wedding Music Essentials” and “ In Concert: The Freelance Musician’s Keys to Financial Success”.
In 2014, I escaped Wisconsin winters and moved to Los Angeles, and am putting my years of experience to good use by joining the team at CMG Music Recording, an amazing and fast-growing company.”
